1 - Tbh, I don’t know many places, because it’s very expensive to travel so... I’ll just say that Angra dos Reis, in Rio de Janeiro is beautiful and nearly paradisiac

7 - OKAY, NOW THIS IS THE BEST ONE! Okay, maybe not the best, but really close!

Uh, basically I love ‘eita’, ‘misericórdia’ and ‘saudade’. 'Misericórdia’ is like compassion and ‘saudade’ is- we don’t have a translation, what gets close enough is ‘miss’, like ‘I've missed you’.

13 - I’m not familiarized with other countries and their superstitions, but I don’t think we have weird superstitions... maybe something about our folklore, but right now I can’t think of anything... I mean, the only thing I remember is from Saci Pererê, that he is a very naughty black boy with only one leg that loves to prank on people and scary them...

29 - Uhh... Well... yeah... Unfortunately, we do... I mean I live in the south, and uh... The city I live in was considered one of the best in a couple things like education, preserving green areas and etc... But, we are also known like... Brazilian England, because our weather kinda remembers it? Like... Not today, but years ago we would be known as the gray city because we barely had sun and we are known as cold people, which is a lot of bs way to say that we don’t talk to strangers lol

so to actually answer your questions:

Maeves absolute faaaaaavourite thing to do to Maeve is just to have him curled up at his feet while Maeve can do absolutely anything and look down at any moment to see Jacob’s entire attention on him-

But his favourite depraved thing to do is pull the poor thing’s collar tight and watch him look up in terror and confusion at Maeve, watch his face go red and listen to the cute little hitching breaths and gasps of pain as the boy struggles to breathe.

Yeah that’d definitely be his favourite.

...Close second though, is dressing Jacob up all pretty and hosting parties, watching Jacob get more and more uncomfortable with every person that gets closer while the boy still tries to be on his best behaviour, and forcing him to carry drinks around just so that the poor thing has to talk to everyone while Maeve sits with a half empty champagne flute held aloft in his left hard while he laughs.

Sooo next, his name!! When I first named the three characters in this universe, I had Jacob first, and then Caleb second. I remember I was actually messaging my partner about it, trying to figure out names and stuff and I asked whats a good bad guy name that sounds like scary but like is cool and is kinda funky and then she gave me the name like Butthole or something and I was like cool we’re going with Maeve.

Buuuut, in the actual story Maeve Taylor is a chosen name. His actual name is [Redacted], but he changed it after becoming estranged from his mother and father and didn’t want to keep the name they gave him. The name is like purposefully androgynous on his part, but he is most definitely a he. (hehe every time I think of his names I can’t help but think of that quote that’s like “can’t trust a man with two first names”) So yeah that’s how this particular bastard got his name!

Out of the four, what would make your character happiest and why: power, peace, wealth, or love? What do they find more appealing and why: to be feared, to be admired, or to be loved?

Peace would make Kien the happiest without question. He has power and wealth, and they don’t make him happy. He would give it all up without question if he thought someone else could take his place, and be better than him. 

For Maeve, she’d tell you she wants to be feared, but really, she just wants to be loved. She isn’t close with anyone, and she’s deeply lonely. She is an assassin, though, and to keep up appearances she’d say to be feared is the greatest appeal (and an asset).
