@troublesomemix i feel guilty though it's 100% your fault for that other starter that gave the other two feels and left nicholas all alone
This party was a complete drag. A sodding mistake and she knew it, she knew it from the get-go. The only reason why she was here was to show off to all the pricks that kept teasing her and made a joke out of her. Fuck them. She was a famous writer now with a contract with Pr.ime to get her books on TV with gorgeous actors in all shapes and sizes and nationalities. It was going to be great. She'd even get to do a cameo or two--or play the modiste, which was her own personal inner joke. Sodding fuckers the lot of them.
Except Wanda. Wanda she liked. Pietro she loved though he was also a fucker. He was dead now so Maeve guessed she had to slow it down on the curses. She never really saw Wanda as a royal because she didn't see herself as one. They were a working family with an army dad and a teacher mom, they were awfully normal. Ethan was always like a father to her, more than the man who had vanished from their lives when she was 8 and Magda always made Maeve her favorite foods when she visited, and sent her homemade eclairs before finals. She was a trooper, made Maeve feel like one more of them, minus the russian royal blood of course.
Unfortunately, Wanda hadn't been able to make it to this goddamn party because she had fallen ill. Mave had offered to take care of her but Wanda wouldn't let her, she wanted her friend to go and gloat and send her all the pictures and bring the gossip on everyone and Maeve, dutiful as ever, complied.
She was regretting it now though, after her third gin tonic and hundredth selfie with people that used to taunt and torment her, now all fans of her work, wanting to hear who was getting cast as Lord Edmund. Ha. As if she'd tell.
scarlet: this is, in words of the hated and loathed ronal.d weasley A BLOODY NIGHTMARE WANDA. you better be sick and getting pampered by that king of yours or so help me.
she put her phone down then over the bar and continued to be ignored by the bartender. "what the fuck is wrong with this man? HEY!" she yapped to no avail, not realizing right away who was hovering near her.
