He’d be super sneaky about it and just want to be really spontaneous. Kai would be the type to just have that confident aura and image but as soon as you put him in a one on one situation with a girl he has genuine feelings for and he has to make a good impression on, the mask is gone and he’d be nervous as hell. I could see him stressing out from the day he asks her to the moment he knocks on her door. He’d probably spend about an hour if not more just trying to decide what he’s going to wear and then stress out trying to make his hair perfect. Kai has that suave and cool appearance but honestly even mafia Kai is a bit of an awkward dork, and he really would want to make a good impression on you because he doesn’t open up his heart easily so it would be quite a rare situation, if anything went wrong like the reservations he made somehow not being at the right time or someone took their table then I think he would just relax and have the “fuck it” mentality and just completely wing it and do something out of the box and it would just be the sweetest, most romantic adorable, unexpected night that would probably be much better than the original plan was. Then he’d drive you home in whatever flash car he was using that week, walk you to your door and say goodnight with a mind blowing kiss (and the cheeky little shit would probably try and get inside with you too) before mumbling “don’t dream of me too much” into your neck before leaving
