Tumblr! It’s Been Too Long!
The last post I made here was in December! I was working on a series of icons and illustrations for the Mage Punk website when a side project came along and I stagnated on my own productivity. In a bout of lethargy I wasn’t doing anything because I wanted to work on one thing while having the responsibility to finish another. These two feelings negated each other in the most pathetic display of laziness I’ve ever exhibited.
That said, I’ve since finished the site and have been slowly updating it while adding a few finishing touches. As fate would have it I didn’t use ANY of the illustrations I spent so much time on and instead opted for something much simpler than intended. I’m quite satisfied either way and those drawings can still be useful. There’s nothing quite like having your own little corner of the internet to post your story to.

Mage Punk follows Jake and his friends as he tries to prove himself as a capable Lancer to the Final Flame, a guild renowned for their heroism, justice, and penchant for destruction. Only problem is that Jake is legally too young to be a Lancer. But he won't let that get in his way.
Magic, Mythology, and Robots meet in this comic about a young mage punk who leads his friends into various mishaps around the Chaos Megalopolis.
Even though I haven’t been posting here, I’ve been keeping fairly active (if not a tad uninvolved) on Twitter at

Now that I have my own little hidey-hole of the internet to post to and mess around I hope to be a little more productive. It’s like stepping away from a huge crowd at a convention. I plan on doing some sort of blogging on that site while still making posts here. I’m just not sure what the chief difference will be.
My next daunting task will involve moving that hidey-hole to a whole new host. I recently discovered that BlueHost is adamantly against the hosting of adult content. While Mage Punk will strive to remain as all-ages as possible, I do have other ideas and projects to work on that will certainly violate those Terms of Service. But I’ll have the coming months to deal with it.
Has anyone noticed a bunch of creepy porn Tumblrs following them? Is it some kind of repercussion for inactivity? By the end of the week I’m hoping to post up anything that I’ve worked on between my last Tumblr post and now. It’s not much but it’s something.
