he has OCD, and not the "funny haha i love cleaning" type (which doesn't even encompass 1% of real OCD). he has to do shit like count every doorknob and window in the house to ensure nobody's broken in, or build his personal projects 15 times over to 'perfect' them.
ford:
he DOES actually like toffee peanuts, but those are Stan's Thing. therefore ford cannot eat them, so he convinced himself he hated them
organizes his jellybeans before he eats them, but almost never in the same way twice in a row
he used to like cutting sandwiches into triangles because his Ma made them that way. after Bill, he started doing rectangles or squares as the new default
up until sometime in early middle school, red was his favorite color. then Stan started liking it and wouldn't change his mind on it, so Ford had to drop it. he changed to blue, instead, then yellow with Bill, then it wasn't important, then back to red after the events of Weirdmaggedon
stan:
his first favorite color was actually pink, but through the power of toxic masculinity he changed it to red (he also liked that Ford and his Ma liked red). he didn't think about it until after Weirdmaggedon; Mabel asked him what his favorite color was, hoping he'd remember and say red. he said pink, instead!
dipper:
his favorite color is orange, and he likes to pair it with blue, which makes it look like blue is his favorite color. it's just his 2nd, really.
mabel:
she has a lot of pink and purple, which she loves, but her favorite color is actually brown. she says it's because when you mix all the colors (or a rainbow) together, you always get brown. rainbow isn't technically a color, but brown is!
