okay SPACELAND 2026 RETROSPECTIVE

from the world's kinkiest beyblade match, to getting fucking DIRT MARRIED to my irl boyfriend/dirt husband, to making the ATFL finals for the first time in my life, to finally getting to spend a VIP date night at Atalante's balcony overlooking the entire city of Neotropolis, this was a year that ticked SO MANY BOXES and I felt like I was really truly coming home

For the first time ever I felt like I was passing on some of what makes Neo and WW so magical to me, onto new bladers, new players, new people to Kepler - one night in Metamorphosis, a blader stopped me and told me how special it was to see me and the other elites from last year zipping around, doing our Neo personas, and making the ATFL so fun and colorful and friendly and larger-than-life. I'm gonna fuckin cry, you guys. ATFL means so, so, so much to me, and to my bey bestie Donut, and it's just been such a truly emotional, magical, indescribable bright spot of friendship and magic in this horrible fucking world. I love you guys. I love this stupid spinning top game made for ages 8 and up. And, most of all, I love every single blader who makes the ATFL the magical league that it is. SQWAK, DONUT, ZACH, everyone in HISS, ARTORI45, STRAY, FELIS STRAY, SPAGHETTI, GUNDUM GIRL, AUTOSAVE, WARD, DOKIDOKI, and every single person who helped the ATFL Underground come to life, this year was fucking magic. The Zendits would be very, very, very, very proud (and I hope they are!!)

CHEESEBURGER PARADYSE - my beautiful, sweet, caring, hardworking, gorgeous crow of a dirt husband, thank you for dirt marrying me in this special home of a Wasteland Valley that means so much to me. I can't believe I got to show you space, and now you're gonna cry every time you hear Ladyworld, too. I love you so much my love, and I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you and your irl wife who I also love

everyone at the GENTLEMAN LOSER - holy shit slapshots and Diskettes keep me alive. you have no idea. Murderbot Power Hour was super special to me and it made me and Sqwak's night

TETHER GANG TETHER GANG and all the gobs in the Gob Hob, especially VANILLA BEEF, GABE, COOKIE, MR E, SHEP, and non-gobs Sqwak and Kittie who I ended up tethered to and watching the sunrise with on Friday: Thank you for keeping a wonderful tradition alive and I love getting stupid in the desert with you guys

CYBEAR: My beautiful friend who I love so much!! Spending time in space with you and at the Ray Cats is always such a balm in my life /sob

NEON MOON: Thank you SO MUCH for catching me that last day and letting me sob like a fucking baby at you for my Problems TM. You're such a good guy and you're so caring and I appreciate and love having you in my life!!!

Dear FROGB01 and SHEEVOK: May you have many, many, many eternal happy years together, your vows made me cry like an idiot and the ceremony was beautiful! You belong together and it's so very sweet

DISASTER: You made both my partners eat moonshine made with actual worms and I love you for it. Thank you for making me a mini celebrity on this stupid desert planet, I love the Rat Trap and I will always end every night there

BOOKWORM: hey good lookin what's a hot entity like you doing in a place like this? ;)) it was SO good catching up with you and making out and canoodling, especially in the izekaya, and that bone broth was NUTS. I miss you. i'll be in LA soon. let's keep up more. <33

GOGURT and KITTIE: You make my day so much better and you're really, truly family to me. KAYLA, I hope the good parts of Spaceland keep outweighing the bad! GOGURT, I see you too, and shutting down the Kaiju with a literal entire crowd chanting for us to kiss, cheering while we make out, having the spotlight turned on, and then having the DJ floodlight the entire club and go "ALL RIGHT I'M SHUTTING DOWN THE KAIJU" and then actually shutting down the Kaiju was like, top 10 gay experiences of a lifetime

DEMON, good to see you in space and we have GOT to hang out in Sac more, IN DEMAND & CHAMPAIN you're both gems and hanging at Haze was a total blast, shoutouts to my HISS crew including RYA, FAUST, JASTUR, MARS, and everyone at Possum Hollowgram, chatting about flying and delicious breakfasts cooked by PANADOLL, to new blader friends including LOREM IPSUM and GAMES, it was so fun dicking around with everyone!!

also I got pulled onstage to dance at the Street Cleaner show so my life is basically complete

I am missing a bunch of people but the golden love of the ATFL shines on

this weekend is the *checks notes* fucking 150-person mostly-Wastelander birthday rager my dear beloved friend Bananaz is hosting

I have 3 wastelanders crashing in my apartment this weekend and I can't fucking WAIT to tear it up with my LCC Boyz and, of course, my sweet sweet Bonertown

the party theme is "Oops! All Villains" and I absolutely did not have time to do anything so I'm just wearing my H.I.S.S. villain fit :')))) my friends are all going as permutations of like 80's Investment Banker and/or Member of the Lost Boys and/or Incredibly Evil DM and I love them so much
