Nerine's Manga Discussion Magi Chapters 289 and 290
The latest chapters of Magi have been extremely interesting. In chapter 289 the origins of Alibaba's powers have been revealed. Yunan explained that the time that passed in the other world until Judar found spirit doll Alibaba was two days but according to Alibaba it seemed like at least 100 years. Alibaba can now see the fabric of reality although he is not the only one capable of doing so( at least this is my belief). In the following chapter he makes his way to see his friend Ren Kou-Gyoku after a impressive display of power. To the dismay of the guards she sees Alibaba privately after reminiscing of old times she displays her anger at Sinbad. Kou-Gyoku is also unaware of the whereabouts of Aladdin and the others. It seems as if Sinbad will finally get the once great Kou Empire to enter his alliance but Alibaba has a plan. Alibaba has acquired skills that are remarkable but the wisdom he attained may be his most powerful weapon. The final arc of Magi has exceed expectations so far and if it continues on this path it might be one of the best mangas of all time.
