Silence || Drabble

Eve frowned as the volume of the TV in front of her suddenly lowered. She reached for the remote, watching as the numbers on the screen rose but she continued to hear nothing. Her heartbeat wildly in her chest and she checked, then rechecked that the TV and the remote were working before giving up. 

Silence. She could hear nothing. She ran a hand through her hair, wondering what the hell was going on. Then she remembered the anon and sighed. This was going to be an interesting 24 hours to say the least.

This shop was so purple... There were seemingly random posters behind the counter, nonsense about missing animals and missing right legs... Strange things like that. With further inspection the boy saw that the reward for finding the missing right leg was a left leg... Below the counter was several baseball bats and rolls of some sort of tickets. In the left corner of the store was a huge black bag, it was almost bigger than Zacharie. All together, the place was pretty messy. It smelt rather smoky as well, not overly pleasant. 

Zacharie was currently sitting on the counter with his legs to his chest and his mask on the floor. "It doesn't seem to be anywhere near home... Every thing is weird..." He grumps sadly, pouting to himself. Maybe if he got very bored he's wander outside even though it was scary.

It had been over three months and the soldiers were finally back. The mission had been long and difficult but, in the end they managed to achieve their objective.

They were all welcomed back like heroes, only one was rushed to the palace, the kings, clearly favoured, servant. He had been wounded during the last battle and need immediate medical care. 

The other soldiers had all been anxious as they knew that their victory would mean nothing to the King if it had cost Zacharie's life.

As it was, he was being taken care of in the medical area of the palace and a soldier rushed to tell Batiste. 

"My King!" He yelled as he entered the throne room but he hastily quietens down once he receives several nasty looks. "My King... You are needed in the medical ward. Zacharie has been injured."
