How was magic brewer supposed to be a dick when we didn't get practically anything character-wise pertaining to them
I mean, I’ve just been saying that because I know he’s a dick. There might be some stuff later, of people thinking back and remembering him, but other than that he’s just supposed to be an ambiguous character.

He's already made a monster out of the remains of a dead child, would not be unexpected if Ouphre's entire lineage was made by making monsters out of crushed human souls or something.
WELL, ESSENTIALLY, yes. Magic Brewer’s ancestor, who started the project, subjected humans to multiple horrible experiments in an attempt to figure out what makes them so powerful, and how they could give that power to monsters. Magic Brewer took up the project once his ancestor passed away, and while he has to be even more underground about it, he’s probably got a secret cellar somewhere in his workshop where he has a human or two still locked up.
Which is!! Horrible cuz now that he’s dead, no one probably knows that they’re still in there!!

There isn’t much to know, really. Magic Brewer was an important figure in the royal family, he served as a “scientist” and a magical researcher. It was his job to understand magic, and find new ways for monsters to weaponize their magic, as well as craft weapons to help them harness their power. Many people knew OF him; many had never actually met him.
Magic Brewer does a lot of his work in the shadows, and many of his projects are kept from the King and Queen’s eyes- the Breeding Project and Wingdin’s creation are among those. The first answer has some stuff about that, too ^^^
