Nath gives you a token Elf Warrior whenever an opponent discards a card. Wedge (The Mana Source on Youtube) points out how well it goes together with Sadistic Hypnotist, and that interaction is incredibly good. His deck tech left out a lot of ways to expand this deck because of it being a budget deck, but we have no such limitation.
You can sacrifice a creature (probably one of those tokens) at sorcery speed, to make an opponent discard two cards, so you get two Elf Warrior tokens. The only problem I have with this card interaction is that when your opponent(s) is/(are) out of cards, you’re done. If they play the card they draw on their next turn during their next turn... you’re basically a sitting duck. Perhaps a well-fortified sitting duck, but you’re no longer using your engine. And yes, the more opponents you have the more likely you’ll be able to keep going, and you’ll have card advantage over your opponents (unless they have some hijinks about discarding or graveyard shenanigans), but you won’t be able to reliably keep making people discard.
The one recommendation I would make for this deck is to include more cards to make sure your opponents will have hands for you to make them discard.
Geier Reach Sanitarium is a great example. Once your opponents are out of cards, you can make them draw and then immediately discard the card. Temple Bell is another way to make people draw during your turn, so that you’ll be able to use the Sadistic Hypnotist to make them discard (and it also lowers the chance they’ll be able to use what they draw).
Post-Script - In another recent combo post, I am asking about the idea of beginning a Patreon, and I’d appreciate any feedback people have. Thank you.
