About the Artist:
Lawrence Lindell is an experimental musician and artist from Los Angeles, CA. He started his solo venture in experimental and electronic music in 2009 and released multiple EP’s and albums under various aliases. In 2013 he dropped the aliases and started using his real name which led to the release of his debut album “Life is Intelligent” on Noise met Sound. After the completion of his 3rd and latest album “A Nomad Story”, Lindell immediately started working on his next project. After spending 5 long months of writing, composing, and recording, all while moving, having surgery and preparing to leave the country his new project is finally complete. We are proud to present to you “Magic Megaphone”.
Notes from the artist:
This album is the one that amplifies my voice and vision to the max. Magic comes from how I feel about the music created for this project and Megaphone is me amplifying that magic. I wrote this album over the course of 5 months. I had a lot going on, I moved, I had to get emergency surgery on my mouth, and I was preparing to leave the country. I wrote the music in 3 specific locations, East LA, San Bernardino and Cerritos, CA all locations where I was spending the most time. My younger brother asked me "What is the inspiration behind me making music". I told him I want people to hear my music and feel the God in it. I want them to listen to it and be taken to a high place. For the production of Magic Megaphone I recorded live piano, electric guitar, a few field recordings and live vocals (that I sung myself). Then I manipulated them and blended them with electronic drums and bass. I put all that I had into this album, so enjoy it while I take a break from releasing music. I need to recharge.
Peace and Love
