Jessica was so excited and amazed by abilities she had slowly developed suddenly being stronger. Easier to control. Effortless almost.
She and Mari had been planning on hanging out, she liked Mari, and she wanted to share this with someone. Her brother was long gone as far as she knew on some road trip. And though he also had abilities... they were not at all the same kind of magic.
She had a gut feeling she could really trust Mari. She seemed real. And like a true friend. One who could keep a secret. Mari had been there for her, even when things got painstakingly real.
When the magic was suddenly so intense and she had spent days adjusting to it, she had already wanted to make plans with Mari and invited her over for an early lunch.
She wanted to show Mari her garden, and reveal her abilities to her, in person. She didn't want it to be a complete secret. She embraced it.

Jessica set the table and had dressed up nice. There was freshly sliced watermelon on the table, cooked chicken, gravy, and eggs and biscuits. Lots of buttery, flaky, fall apart biscuits. And also, two cold bottles of pop. But she was planning on making lemonade later on, at some point.
She smiled when she saw Mari approaching the house.
She smiles wide, opening the door.
"Hey, come on in. How are you? Good to see you, Mari."
She offers a one armed friendly pat to Mari's back and drops her hand.

KL: It appears this trinket is in Camelot, Teekl. Why don’t we go have a visit?
You giggled in your playful but unnerving tone, addressing your familiar with excitement to partake on a wee bit of adventure to seek out this old artifact of magic. With a little bit of inter-dimensional portal jumping, you’ll be there in no time, with all it’s untapped arcane energies fresh for the taking.
Whether or not that may turn out to benefit or be more of hindrance to whatever and whomever you may choose to “test” it’s abilities on....But of course you are sure it’ll be for benefit, with your benevolence, surely it must!
Okay, let’s be honest here. You can cackle like some demonized child from any horror movie, and have eerie giggles of a youthful but far from innocent being. Not that you are always of ill intent, rather, you are always up for the practical joke.... sometimes they can just get carried away...

KL: Hmmm.....
Ah what’s this? It seems the story starts with you, the ghoulish boy and your creepy familiar.
You are presently researching information on an object of great intrigue to you, an amulet with capabilities to amplify the magic of the caster. A tool like that could come in handy, most certainly, for wrecking havoc in a city or two
Er.....
You mean, in the very case that you may be faced with such a tremendous adversary, a very historical antique artifact such as this, would be essential in your aid to victory and survival. No you don’t. You would never think to do of such things of impish nature, someone pure and gratuitous of you, of honesty and innocence! Yes you would, why wouldn’t you? There’s no fun in just tucking it away for emergencies.

Plot 105: Braving the Elements
Muse A is coming of age in their magical family. On their 18th birthday, they learn what element (water, air, earth, or fire) they have been gifted with. Muse A has been under the impression and hope that they will have inherited the same element that their parents and grandparents have been blessed with, however they come to discover that they have been bestowed with the opposite element. According to rules set forth in the family’s grimoire, Muse A must learn to master their gift from a witch/warlock who possesses the same elemental power as they do. Muse B, who has the same element as Muse A, becomes Muse A’s reluctant mentor. Muse B is brilliant and powerful, but lacks in the department of manners and compassion, especially when Muse A shows difficulty harnessing their new abilities. Muse B is condescending and impatient often without provocation. One day, Muse A meets their wit’s end with Muse B’s treatment and they demand to know why Muse B is so hostile toward them. Muse B reveals that they come from rival families and they are only teaching Muse A due to the terms of a 1,000 year old truce. Once Muse A has mastered their gift, however, the ceasefire will be over. And the families will once again be at odds.
