Book recommendations
The Worldquake series by Scarlett Thomas (book one: Dragons Green, book two: Chosen Ones, book three: Galoglass) and The Magic Thief by Sarah Prineas (book one: Magic Thief, book two: Lost, book three: Found, book four: Home (there's also a short story that's only available via ebook))
Both Fandoms are very small and they really deserve more love

A warm-up sketch from a few days ago, inspired by The Magic Thief, a wonderful children’s fantasy series by Sarah Prineas. The story is about a street kid who pickpockets a wizard, only to get a handful of magic instead. Many adventures ensue.
I love the tone of these books. While they were written for kids, the author doesn’t hold back when raising the stakes, and the characters are beautifully fleshed out and unique. I highly recommend it to those who love a good fantasy romp. :)
Check out this great interview with Sarah Prineas, the author of the Magic Thief series and the Winterling series!
