So ya boi discovered MagicVoxel
The finished outcome my first voxel model. I am really happy with how it turned out especially that at the start I was really discouraged by the program. I didn't know how to get it from a giant blue box to what I got ingot stuck basically every stage especially when I randomly clicked on something and my whole model disappeared and Cmd+Z didn’t work. Panic intensifies. But overall I really like how my model turned out. Voxel art is definitely not my thing but it was amusing to try it.
Working on my voxel art and I wasn’t quite sure about what Im doing at the start, nothing seemed to work right for me and I really didn’t like my design. I had no clue how to change the brushes and what do they do but once I figured out how to use the program I got some confidence in what I’m making.
I used a lot of different tools including massive squares and 1 square brushes to model the dress and after I finished making it I was pretty happy with what I got so far and I am quite pleased with the outcome. I really like how I got the dress and the pieces of blue ribbon to feel dynamic my making them look like they are being blown away by the breeze and I’m very happy with how they turned out.
If I ever do voxel art again I’m sure I won't get as easily discouraged as when starting this model because now I know how to actually use the program and I know that it will not end up looking like ugly boxes.
