Forgive me I'm on a roll here but even as an Indian you CAN NOT compare north to south or east to west or anything like that. Even as you move through states, culture, customs, rituals change! It's ridiculous to think we're uniformly following the Same Thing to the T throughout India! When literally one state can have more than 3 languages and God knows too many dialects. They can only imagine christian rituals and how christianity is practiced in their country and apply the same mould here. It's NOT gonna work bruh. You're just looking stupid.

Exactly this. Why? Because Hinduism is a primary religion. Even though each region and even each family may have their own ancestral customs, they are all bound to 3 things that all Hindus share, which is believing in nitya atman brahman, mantradrashta rishis and devatas of and linked to shastras.
