Gellert vc at Harry's open starter: "GOOD LUCK FINDING THAT KID IT DOESN'T EXIST."

“RUDE! I just want someone to love me unconditionally, that’s all. That has to exist somewhere, doesn’t it?”

Shit I’ve Said To My Cat
“I would really rather not!” Newt was making a run for it, dark wizard be damned!

@cursed-and-chosen: “ It’s not a tornado that’s coming. It’s something much worse. “
@magicaefloreat
“Well of course it’s not a tornado, child,” Gellert responded, a wry grin on his face even though he hadn’t looked up at Harry once. There were papers to grade, after all, and getting through them was turning into a nightmare. “And I think you’re giving Tom far too much credit by declaring him worse than a tornado. A tsunami would be worse, or having to grade fifth year Defense Against the Dark Arts papers. Tom’s a mild thunderstorm.”
With every word to leave Professor Grindelwald's mouth, his expression darkened further, and by the time he had finished speaking, all Harry could see was red, a flash of white-hot anger striking him like a lightning bolt.
„My parents weren't killed by a thunderstorm,“ Harry seethed, already despising his new professor. „They were Order members. Brilliant Order members. How dare you defile their memory... Sir!“

He wasn’t quite sure what had compelled him to sit down at a cafe with the dark wizard himself. He had seen the man, suspected he was up to no good, and perhaps curiosity got the better of him. Grindelwald wouldn’t try anything in the middle of a busy cafe in broad daylight, right? Newt eyed the man, a hand rubbing at the porcelain cup his tea was in. He had barely even taken a sip from it in the last ten minutes they had been sitting here. Had it really been ten minutes? It felt much longer.
“Y-Your brush strokes seek to enslave an entire race,” Newt stated, “That is not what I stand for. I-I want my creatures to be free f-from slavery...” He didn’t like how the man was trying to say they were the same. That was not true at all. “W-We are no different than muggles..” Newt stated simply, “Round and round, the magical community goes. They have the capacity to be just as cruel, just as vicious as any muggle. Look at your cause. You claim it’s for the greater good, but in actuality, it still oppresses people. That’s no different than what the Ministry is doing...” Newt’s gaze trailed down to stare at his tea, chewing on his bottom lip. “I wouldn’t want to risk the lives of aurors...I know what you do to them..” Newt didn’t want to chance his brother arriving if he were to have notified the Ministry that Gellert Grindelwald was sitting here in a cafe.
