Fic memes YES I love these! ALL THE QUESTIONS! But no, okay um... B, H, P, S (and/or T, whichever you're feeling more), and... U!
B: Any of your stories inspired by personal experience?
Oh definitely! I MEAN, nothing ever straight up lifted from my life but if I’m writing a scene where a character is suffering from extreme pain or if I have just intricately described someone’s meal, that’s experience talking.
Also scenes where the character is like, dissociating from their body.
...not to be depressing, or anything.
H: How would you describe your style?
I’ve currently been using a really disjointed nigh stream of consciousness style that I am trying to break myself from because I’m not sure I like it. It’s partly inspired by the way I blog and I’m not sure how I feel about it in my fic. It also doesn’t give itself to descriptions and I ALWAYS need to work on my descriptions.
P: Are you what George R. R. Martin would call an "architect" or a "gardener"? (How much do you plan in advance, versus letting the story unfold as you go?)
S: Any fandom tropes you can't resist?
ALSO, also. 5+1 fics I love them. I write them so often. THEY ARE EASY TO WRITE.
T: Any fandom tropes you can't stand?
WHICH, I mean, kid fic... I love kid fic. Do I want to read several thousand words of my favorite couple trying to raise a child and having ridiculously hilarious moments? Yes.
But kids are hard to write? And sometimes are just. Ugh.
So like, 90% of kidfic I abhor.
I also, like, I have a love hate relationship with the ‘mom/dad of the team’ dynamic. Because sometimes it is really well done and I love it and SOMETIMES IT IS HORRIBLE.
U: A pairing you might like to write for, but haven't tried yet.
THERE ARE SO MANY, I listed a few in another post but there are so many things out there to try.
