HOGWARTS THEORY
You think at Hogwarts they have a chat forum somewhere, and everyone carries a scrap of parchment that's heavily charmed to be interactive, or a book that you open and manipulate like a tablet using your magic sensitivity to "access” chat forums and swipe between them, and "tweet" only they're actually called "hoots." And so the magical version of twitter is Hooter.
