Day 9 was Glass/Mirror witch. I decided to do a witch who is scrying through a mirror. The shine on the mirror ended up looking up really neat, and I also love how the mirror frame ended up looking.
Hi! I was wondering what the Fair Folk would think of an art student who would mix iron dustings into their paint. Not only does it give their artwork a metallic sparkling look, but it also works as protection for their work and themselves (I know I've spent all day walking around campus with paint on my face and arms). On another note, what of artists who become too intrigued or curious and begin trying to depict the fair folk in their work?
I imagine they would give iron-infused paint a very wide berth (which leads to it becoming a popular part of room decoration among artists - paintings and even little words and smiley faces in this paint thumbtacked to cork boards and windowsills, folded into books you really, really need to keep)
For artists trying to paint the Gentry - a lot depends on what, exactly, they’re painting. If it’s painting from life something they weren’t supposed to see at all, they’re running a fairly big risk. If it’s purely from your imagination, because either you haven’t seen them or you’re clever enough not to model a drawing on anything you’ve seen, then you might attract some curiosity, but it would be largely benign.
Day 5 of inktober/witchtober is a Blacksmith Witch! This one was definitely a unique concept, I knew I definitely wanted to show her magical affinity through fire.
I'm enjoying adding  copics to my ink drawings!
Day 10! Okay this one is more than a little late, but I'm working hard to make up on lost time. Day 10 for my prompt was The Three Fates. I had fun researching the mythos behind these three. It's an interesting read if you want to look into it yourself.
Inktober day 4 on my witchtober prompt list was  a Time Witch. I've always found that in the shows I watch, those who control time tend to be a bit sad and introverted so I tried to convey that. I also decided to experiment with materials for Day 4 and added some of my gray-scale copics to help give this drawing some depth.
Also if you zoom in closely, her eyes are also clocks!Â
Still behind but catching up! Day 12 was "Sphinx" for my Witchtober prompt list, so I wanted to do a cat witch with a Sphinx Cat familiar!
I like how the cat turned out, but I messed up on the girl's hair a little bit. Working with ink is hard when you make mistakes, but it also helps you learn how to slow down and make sure you have the lines right to begin with.
Inktober day number 2 for Witchtober is Hippie Witch! Had a lot of fun trying to come up with some witchy accessories for her haha! I also enjoyed trying to draw some hippie tattoos.
