Being a grown adult and allowing myself to do stuff like spend money getting toys is a revelation. Doing something my inner shame says is pointless, but doing it anyway specifically because I want the colours and the magnetism feel and the building and rebuilding play feedback loop... it's been good for my brain.

Ya know what I think is a travesty?

THE ATHENA CABIN DOESNT HAVE MAGNATILES.

Do you know how much architecture they could accomplish and teach to others using those sucker's? I work at a daycare and let me tell you, kids learn about structure waaaay faster than their ABCs with those things.

They of course have the square ones but they have since started to make curved ones and diagonal beam type ones.

Can you imagine the Athena or Hephaestus Cabins drafting their chariots with the magnatiles before they waste materials on something that structurally wouldn't work? Do you know how much time that could save?

There's so many possibilities with these things.
