Magnificent Performance - The Washington Wizards came to Portland to face the Trailblazers and Bradley Beal was well prepared dropping a whopping 51 points which is a Career-High and he made Five 3 pointers. Let me not gloss over the fact that the Washington Wizards got the win 106 - 92.
Magnificent Performance - Russell Westbrook had 57 points, 13 rebounds and 11 assists in a win against the Orlando Magic. He had to go into superhero mode because they were getting blown out by 20 points at one point in this game. It must be a joy to see this guy play in person and watch him put on a show.
Magnificent Performance - Devin Booker not only surpasses his career high of 39 in this game but he shatters it by scoring 70 points against the Celtics in Boston. The Boston Celtics players could not contain him at all and after the game they tried to downplay it but scoring 70 points in an NBA game is a big deal. He’s the youngest to score that many points and it is the most points in a game since Kobe scored 81!
Magnificent Performance - John Wall puts up 52 points which is his career high but it was in a losing effort. His 3 point shot was actually falling and he played great. His teammates needs to step up though because he can’t drop 52 points and still lose especially to the Orlando Magic. All in all, great individual performance.
Magnificent Performance - Klay Thompson drops 60 points on the Indiana Pacers and he did it on 21-33 shooting from the field. Oh yea, and he only player the first 3 quarters. Can you imagine what his stat line would look like if he played in the fourth. Eventually Klay or Steph is going to break a big record when their coach decides to unleash them that one game when they are white hot. Great performance by Kaly Thompson, this is amazing.
Magnificent Performance - I’m a few days late but like I always say “Better late than never”. Russell Westbrook dropped 51 points in a victory against the Phoenix Suns in their home opener. He also had 10 assists and 13 rebounds which is the first 51-point triple double since Kareem Abdul-Jabbar did it in 1975. He’s has elevated this Thunder Team and at the moment they are undefeated, I did not see that coming. I had them missing the playoffs this year in my preseason predictions but they might prove me wrong. 51 points, 10 assists and 13 rebound and all I can think about is NBA 2k because it’s video game numbers
Magnificent Performance - James “The Beard” Harden had his way at home against the Philadelphia 76ers. He dropped 50 points and it was in Harden like fashion. The Rockets are a work in progress but on this night James was able to take advantage of a extremely weak 76ers squad
Magnificent Performance - We have our first Magnificent Performance and it comes from the NBA defending MVP and Champion Stephen Curry. When he scores like this it is really special because it typically comes from long range and his shot is the best the NBA has ever seen. New Orleans could do nothing to stop Chef Curry and this is just a warning to the rest of the league that he is trying to win it all again.
