It really isn’t, I just decided to use Lor’s Japanese name for her to solidify the whole mirrors thing. At least I changed one letter for mirror Magolor (Magoroa) so that it didn’t seem as obvious ggghghhghhhg,,
Ik I don't post a lot about my fcs here but!!! I'm real proud of this one so I'm gonna talk about her. Idk how to do read more's on mobile so I'll make a separate post for just the art after this.
This is Roa! She's the equivalent of Lor's mirror counterpart, though they aren't connected in the same way most counterparts are. She was built based on blueprints for Lor's model that were stolen from overworld(regular) Halcandra. So technically, she and most other mirror Starcutters(Umbramakers) are bootlegs.
The main difference between Roa & Lor are their responses to authority and opinions concerning people. Roa was extremely obedient until given the opportunity to... not be. She was trusted enough to have admin privileges during a shortage of pilots and then immediately went rogue.
That's because of years of developing a strong dislike of people. She was obedient for her own benefit. Of course, getting constantly told what to do, how to do it, when to do it with the motivation basically being "you'll get to keep living" would probably wear on anyone's nerves and sanity.
So while Lor was buried in the volcano because everyone was sick of dealing with her antics, Roa was buried because she was actually a threat. Of course, she didn't go into her volcanic prison willingly, and wasn't completely deactivated upon getting trapped there. Basically just in a sort of sleep mode.
When mirror Magoroa(mirror Magolor) excavated her, she immediately activated and left him. Just fucked off to travel the galaxy without a scamming little rat wizard.
Tl;dr she's Lor but rude now™.
Headcanon Generator Meme
Roa
1. Roa has an intense fear of people.
“Being wary of strangers does not mean I am afraid of people, and neither does my choice to keep to myself rather than seeking to expand my social circle.<”
She doesn’t have an intense fear, she just has trust issues and paranoia that happen to be directly tied to her interactions with others. Huuuuge difference.
2. Roa will remind others in the midst of chaos how good *they're* being.
“No, I wouldn’t.<”
She would, however, probably say something along the lines of “I shouldn’t have to deal with this”, or remark that she doesn’t want to be there— if the chaotic situation involves the few people she actually knows, that is. Otherwise, expect silence and the avoidance of anything that might bring attention to herself. But what else is new…
3. Roa can drive.
“… If one were to equate utilizing my own means of locomotion as driving, I guess. I personally don’t, as driving generally implies the use of a land-based vehicle that also isn’t one’s own body.<”

Magoroa
1. Magoroa has been canceled on Twitter.
“… I don’t know what that is.”
Unlike his counterpart in the Overworld, this mage isn’t borderline terminally online. If he was this would absolutely be true, though. He IS a scammer.
2. Magoroa is awful with kids.
“Maybe, I don’t know. The demographic where I live doesn’t exactly include a lot of children.”
3. If someone they knew commited a crime, Magoroa would cover for them.
“… Depends on how I came to know them. And which side gives the better deal. It’s an eye for an eye out here, but if it doesn’t have to be mine, may as well pawn off someone else’s. I’m sure folks would do the same to me.”
4. It would not take much for Magoroa to turn evil.
“And what the hell is that supposed to mean?”
To be fair, that was way more true in the past than it is now.
5. Magoroa has not showered in two and a half weeks.
“Stars forbid I want to avoid freezing to death in this dumb cave. There’s not even running water here, let alone soap and whatnot.”
Unfortunately, two and a half weeks is being very, very generous. Try closer to a few months... At least the cold climate makes it less obvious.

Quite honestly she’s not sure if it’s better or worse that the apparent interdimensional beings from another plane altogether use their powers to be annoying, concerning, every once in a while just vaguely normal, and overall incomprehensible and arcane. Does that mean they could be classified as lovecraftian beings? She would hope not, because despite her maturity and general recognition of wanting more ideal things over more interesting things, she would really prefer to be haunted by like, eldritch creatures or something, and not gray beings wearing generic shades who just show up to say nonsense or ask uncomfortable questions.
Meanwhile, far off in Mirror Halcandra, Magoroa gets the strange feeling that somewhere, someone mentioned him. He doesn’t like it.

He just stops for a moment, whiskers twitching, before continuing what he was doing, not even turning around.
“… Don’t call me that.”
Nicknames tend to be something you use with people you know, in his eyes.
“While I can cook, I will admit I can’t cook well. And you’re far from the right place if you want something like that, at least if you want it in a state that could be considered edible. Hope you brought money, too, because if you do manage to find it it’ll cost you a pretty penny and probably something else. Speaking of money, though… Wanna buy a potion? I’ve got a sale going right now: buy two and you can get a third for the price of one!”

The mirror halcandran flicks his tail in mild annoyance, in the midst of definitely not watering down some elixirs in preparation to sell them at the same price as the full-effect potion. Based on the labels, these ones restore magic… Well, probably not too much anymore, compared to the real deal.
“No? Just because we resemble rats doesn’t mean we are rats. Or even related to rats.”
Yeah anon don’t slander my boy Remy like that. Unlike SOMEONE, mr rata tootie actually helps run an honest business. If it weren’t for the fact that it’s valid in its original context, the teen would wish he had never learned of the existence of Ratatouille as a kid. The jokes about it, Ratatoing, and rat movie get old after a little while.

Oh boy you're not gonna believe this but they'd technically be Roa! For all of maybe 3 minutes once she became conscious.
Magoroa excavated her and poked around a bit, stealing some books and clothes just in case something happened and he had to *cough cough* leave her behind for some reason. Such as if she lost a fight against a group trying to stop him or something. But surely that would never happen to someone like him.
Anyways, since Roa was never fully shut off and had just put herself in the equivalent of sleep mode so she didn't lose her mind being trapped in a volcano for thousands of years, she woke up. Took her a minute to process what was going on, but she quickly realized A. she'd been freed, and B. there's someone on board. She had no clue who Magoroa was, didn't care, and by that point was just focused on Getting The Hell Out Of There, so she kicked him out(via warp) and flew away. She doesn't intend to go back, either, and for good reason.
Needless to say, Magoroa was not expecting that to happen. Now he sells potions of dubious quality for a living, his own domination plan thwarted before it even really started. That's for the better, though.
But hey, Roa has a bit of a dragon-inspired aesthetic, and they were together for a few minutes, so that's close enough, right?
