Right. 10 books that have a special meaning to me. Ok, let's go. 1. Jonathan Livingston Seagull by Richard Bach. A short book (a very short book) but the story is so wonderful and the message is so beautiful. 2. Wolf Moon by Charles de Lint. The single best werewolf book I've ever read. 3. Moonheart by Charles de Lint. The book that I picked up in a second hand bookstore in New Zealand. It introduced me to Charles de Lint and to the broader world of fantasy books and other media that wasn't just Tolkien or Harry Potter. I've reread it a couple of times. 4. Reaper Man by Terry Pratchett. It was difficult to choose one Discworld book from the series that I adore. It was also difficult to avoid picking my top 10 Discworld books. This one features Death, my favourite character. 5. Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury. Just a great book. About books. Meta. 6. The World According to Garp by John Irving. The Under Toad. A roller coaster of a book. 7. The Hobbit by J R R Tolkien. It took me far too long to get round to reading this and it was so good. 8. The Last Kingdom by Bernard Cornwell. My first introduction to Uhtred of Bebbanburg and to Norse belief systems. A lot of my outlook on life has been influenced by this book and series. 9. The Valley of Horses by Jean M Auel. This book taught me valuable lessons on women. 10. Masquerade by Terry Pratchett. Ooops, another Pratchett book made its way on to the list. I'm totally not sorry. This one is hilarious. Your turn!
