Feelings of inferiority and self-loathing can be difficult to talk about. Not just in the difficulty of articulating complicated thoughts, but in that you feel bad for bringing them up. I have friends who take upon my burdens; where do I get off complaining about that? How shameful, to resent people for being nice to you!
You just feel worse and worse as you feel bad for feeling bad, and this leads to you having to lean on others more and more as you spiral into depression which makes you feel more shame and guilt. You try to drive people away just to escape it, but justifying your self-loathing doesn’t solve the problem.
Anyway, these themes hit close to home for me.
