With over 30% of the construction on the PMRDA third metro line (Hinjewadi to Shivajinagar) completed, the national government is expected to provide Rs 566 crore money as part of the project's first payment by the end of March.
The overall cost of the third Pune metro line project, which includes land acquisition and rehabilitation, is Rs 8,313 crore.
According to PMRDA, the national and state governments would each pay 20% of the entire project implementation cost, which is Rs 6,124 crore. The remaining 60% will be borne by the private concessionaire.
The national government is anticipated to provide Rs 1,224.96 crore as part of the 20% share.

The Pune Metro route is managed by MAHA Metro, a Special Purpose Vehicle of the Government of India and Maharashtra. The project intends to improve Pune's infrastructure and construct world-class stations and surrounding regions in order to highlight the city's rich cultural heritage.
