a lot of people misunderstand what makes type-moon stories so special isn't the intricate magic system or the crazy servants you can come up with, but rather how the stories can be so unrelentingly grim and edgy but the common throughline in even the weakest of them is that by the end, they'll suddenly look you dead in the eye and say "maybe the real magic was kindness all along" completely sincerely and you'll really believe in it
