On Nicknames

Me: I've been trying to think of nicknames for you guys lately.

Gwenevere: I have been getting Gwen a LOT these days.

Me: I'm glad you're okay with that because I keep accidentally referring to you as Gwen.

Winifred: I already go by Winnie sometimes!

Adalynn: I've heard Addy before. Some kids named Adalynn come by the theatre and their parents call them Addy.

Me: ADDY?! That is SO CUTE.

Adalynn: It is cute! I've never gone by it myself, before, though. I might.

Me: ...can I call you that.

Adalynn: *giggling* yes.

Gwenevere: What if I call you... Lynn?

Adalynn: What if you called me Lynn? Well then that would be a completely different name.

Gwenevere: *laughs* That's true. It would be.

Me: What about Jeannette? What would you shorten for her?

Gwenevere: ...

Adalynn: Um... like... Jenny? Maybe?

Gwenevere: That doesn't really sound like her, though.

Winifred: Can I call her Netty?!

Everyone: *laughing*

Gwenevere: I don't... I don't really think she would appreciate that very much.

I've been waiting all week to post this picture for #fairemaidenmonday! 😍 Every minute I got to spend with these four at my visit last Wednesday was just absolute magic. They're each the funniest, sweetest darn things - and I feel so so so lucky that I got to meet with them as much as I did! Every show was so much fun because of them and our interactions during the performance, to which they told me they loved having me participating so much in the audience - like their fifth maiden for the day :) I was so sad to say goodbye to them, but before I could leave the parks they all lined up to each give me a hug. :) My heart 🙈 Hugs are my favorite things, and Viola, Milda, Lilly and Odette gave me so many throughout the day. I can't even begin to find the words to say how happy that made me :) Thank you guys for all that you do, seriously - I don't know if you know just how much joy you really bring to the days of guests like me. You're what makes the Disney magic so real for me, and that's a fact! I miss the four of you and I hope I cross paths with you all again soon!
