Tips For Tuesday: How To Use Up Your 1TB Of Storage & Do What No Person Has Done Before
By Marilyn Jaynes, Yahoo Mail Community Manager
It’s happened to all of us: you’re scrolling through your email, taking care of business, when that ominous ‘Storage Full’ notification pops up. And then your life flashes before your eyes as you think about having to delete not only emails, but cherished memories in the form of photos, videos, and documents. With Yahoo Mail, you can finally scroll without fear (on desktop or mobile) with 1TB of storage that’s yours for the taking. And did we mention it’s free?
Let’s break it down. What does 1TB of storage mean for you? Room to store about 500,000 photos. Never worry about taking too many selfies or capturing weekend brunch again.
Concerned that having so many files in one place would result in clutter rather than organization? Have no fear! By leveraging Yahoo’s strength in search, you will always find exactly what you need. Just enter a term in the search bar and any file that includes that term will surface and be separated out by messages, photos, and documents. Thanks to archive, you can even search files you’ve gotten out of the way. Now you can spend more time sharing and less time searching.
But, we didn’t stop there! Yahoo Mail also offers integration with your cloud provider. This means accessing everything you need in one place—any document, photo, and video from Google Drive and Dropbox. And, you can even view the file without having to download it to your desktop or mobile phone.
We hope you enjoy living the ‘never have to delete’ lifestyle—we sure do. No user yet has hit the 1TB limit, but you could be the one - use that storage up! And if you’re ever curious, you can click on ‘Settings’ to see the percentage of storage you are currently using.
As always, don’t forget to share your feedback—just go to Settings and tap “Send Feedback.”
