Starter for @altonatestrategies Cadence knew enough from what her mother had said about her childhood to know when something is going very, very wrong. Then again, considering the amount of trouble Alto got himself into (especially with Brave, goodness) Cadence wasn’t sure how her mother dealt with it. Worse that Alto was pretty much a completely unique individual and that nobody had any idea how he’d grow or what might happen. So when Cadence got that deep gut feeling that something was wrong with him, she acted on it. She’d grabbed whatever weapon she had handy (the Frost Dagger this time seeing as she gave the only jeweled dagger to her son) along with a defense charm, and the explorer boots that her mother had on her before she adjusted her pack and practically ran through Zone 2. It didn’t take long for the scent of blood to enter her nostrils and her stomach dropped as she ran across a corner, her eyes catching sight of something laying there. Cadence’s dagger dropped from her grip, landing blade first and leaving a crack of ice as she stared in horror at the sight before her
