with my "he lived" au, luke was left as the theory in f&b goes, without his memories and is raised temporarily by an old fisherman who drug him out of the seaweed. this man never gave luke a name, and as he could not recall his own, was dubbed: "the boy". luke stays with the fisherman for as long as any plot deems nessecary, but i do believe it is long enough for his death to impact and start events that need to happen for the plot of hotd/f&b to grow. that being said he is eventually found, and his memories do start to come back :) that being said not all of them return to him, he has holes and gaps in his memories, and a weak leg with heavy scarring.
