Mainacht

In Germany, especially around the area Bonn- cologne, we have something called 'mainacht'

At midnight, boys gather together, chop a birch and put it up in front of their crushes houses. The girl shouldn't know until the 31st of May who got her the tree- at that day she should wait with a beer for her secret lover and he should put down that tree.

Every leap year the girls have to do that job- so this year it's their turn.

Tonight is may night. Who needs party, alcohol and friends, when you can be home alone with your beloved TV, beautiful pizza and of course tumblr?!

I'm literally parting infront of my computer. Flor Rida is blasting from my stereo and Im getting all excited for my birthday in 8 weeks. I'm torturing myself with looking at pictures from other people with their Nikon D5000. AAHAHHRHRGRGG I wanna use mine right now.

And I'm sitting infront of my computer while other teenagers are outside runnign around, playing jokes at other peoples houses... hahah they're celbrating the first may. (In german it's called "Mainacht") I never did this, because I hate what they understand under playing jokes. Throwing eggs, toilet paper at houses and stealing things from the garden.

Such jerks.
