90’s kimono goth 💀👘 When @thecomm.online called out for creative shoots on the goth topic I finally had a reason to go all black 🖤 Black vintage awase komon with crosses, faux leather corset belt, white harness & stomper boots make this simple look. Tea lady 🌱 This is close to what the „tea ladies“ wore in the old time when hand picking green tea leaves. Usually a cotton ikat weave kimono hiked up shorter to not spoil it and a red apron and arm and leg covers (not pictured) as well as a tenugui towel wrapped around their head. My husbands relatives grow green tea in Saitama and I had the chance to finally help harvesting. Sayama tea is not as well known as it doesn’t do heavy PR like Shizuoka and Kyoto - however the whole region is growing tea 🍵 My Patrons will receive a small tea package if all goes well 🥰 So excited! 狭山茶はご存知ですか？ 静岡や京都みたいに広告などしてないけど、埼玉県の狭山市はお茶畑ばかりよ🌱 初めてお茶積みの体験ができて、合わせてお茶娘の格好してみた☺️💦 昔も皆さんは絣の着物で作業したことがあって、赤いエプロンでめでたい気持ちにした。着物を汚さないように短く着たり、腕や足をカバーで守って、頭に手拭いを巻きましたね。 私はブーツで行ってみたけどw エプロンは1日前の夜中に縫ってみた😝 ぜひ狭山茶も飲んでみてください。新茶を積んで来たばかりなので美味しいよ！🍵🥰 #mainichikimono #salztokyo (at Sayama, Saitama) https://www.instagram.com/p/CCbJs6MJgBD/?igshid=s8wpby354ha9

Since I mainly quarantined myself since March and needed to get out safely to not go insane (also before I’ll be stuck at home again with a baby 😂) - my husband and I are on the move by car 🚗 First stop is Izu (Shimoda). Ahoy sailor 🚢 This gray and rainy weather reminds me of my old home (Hamburg, Germany) and that I never properly posted these pictures from December 😝😂 Fun fact: After a day of wearing, this antique ripped completely apart at both arm seams and elsewhere because it was too fragile. Which is more a sad fact... but! Kimono #ootd from February when I went to see the farewell ceremony of sumo wrestler Takekaze 😍🙇🏻‍♀️❤️ I don’t have many occasions to dress up in fancy kimono 👘 however this was the perfect occasion to wear out the light purple dragon Tsukesage (formal) kimono. The Kanazashi (hair accessory) Obi fitted perfectly with my hair.
