Sarah Vaughan came back slowly around 1970 having been away from the music scene & recording for a number of years by signing with Mainstream Records...produced by label owner Bob Shad & singing more contemporary material such as Carly Simon's "That The Way I Always Hear It Should Be", results were amazing...crossing over to a new generation of music lovers, Sarah played Los Angeles Troubadour packing out the small club with a legendary performance! Club dates continued growing to venues such as Dorothy Chandler with Michel LeGrand & The Hollywood Bowl then along the way "Feelin' Good" came out with the great singer in a lushly orchestrated setting giving performances unlike anything she had done before...peak form, this is the way to hear Sarah at the top of her game in the recording studio! Breathing new life in to songs like "Alone Again" & "Rainy Days & Mondays", Sassy One in full command making each song her own. "Deep In The Night" is stirring & magnificent while Sarah makes a tour-de-force out of "Feelin' Good" & "Take A Love Song" turning these songs inside out with amazing results.
