"I saw them practicing first. It was a couple weeks after I met them, I actually didn't even know my friends and I were going see to them practice... It never even crossed my mind." I slightly chuckled.
Juliya nodded, setting her elbow on the arm of the chair. "What was it like the first time hearing them?"
I laughed, looking down at my black ripped up jeans. "Like I knew they were going to be big, but just something was missing."
"What was missing?" She leaned in.
"Brian and Johnny," I laughed.
She chuckled. "Ah.. They weren't in the band yet?" She asked looking at me.
I shook my head. "No, Brian didn't want to join at the time, and Johnny was young and also annoying."
1998
"Johnny!" Kerry, my friend, squeaked, as he entered her front door. Johnny is Kerry's boyfriend, he's annoying but at the very least nice. I laughed walking outside, figuring I give them some alone time, and saw Johnny's brother walking to his car.
"Hey," I gave a small wave.
"Cherry!" I heard some one yell. I looked over seeing Brian getting out of the passangers side of the car. "What are you doing here?"
"Nothing, I was just hanging with Kerry."
"Oh, that's cool--"
"Bri, come on, leave the little girl alone, we gotta go." Johnny's brother said from the car.
Brian flipped him off. "Well, I gotta go, I'll talk with ya another time." He smiled and then gave me a hug. I froze for a second and then hugged him back. I could smell her his cologne, and boy did it smell amazing. "Bye," he smiled walking to the car.
I smiled watching as they pulled out of Kerry's drive way. I turned around walking in to the house. "Ya'll better be fully clothes!" I shouted, and saw them on the couch. Kerry was in Johnny's lap, while he had his arms around her.
"We're not doing anything pervy." Kerry laughed.

I watched as both Kerry and Johnny play wrestled. "Awwww," Kerry and Johnny looked at me. "I ruined the moment--" I suddely cut myself off as I heard the sound of drums. "What is that?" I said looking around.
"They're practicing!" Johnny said, and looked at Kerry. "Please!?" He begged, and I raised an eyebrow, in a questioning manner.
She huffed rolling her eyes. "Fine!" She laughed as Johnny kissed her. Both of them hopped up and walked out the front door. I followed their example, unsure where we were going.
"Who's they?" I asked as we started walking down the road.
"A band." Johnny answered.
I shrugged, realizing that was the best answer I was going to get. After passing a couple of houses, they started down a drive way of a house, and I trailed slowly behind, looking down. Suddenly I heard the garage to the house started to open, along with "what the fuck do you want Johnny?"
I look up seeing a familiar group of older teens. "We just came to watch you guys." Johnny said, causing me to look at him. I took noticed to the cigarette behind his ear, and rolled my eyes. Then wondering where it came from.
"Fine, but if you talk--"
Johnny cut off Matt. "I know, I know." Johnny sat on a chair, and pullled Kerry on his lap. I shrugged and sat on the ground next to them.
Zack waved at me, holding his guitar. I gave a smile in return and he sat his attention on his guitar, tuning it. I looked to the left where Matt was bent over messing with an amp. I had to admit I was slightly staring at his ass, but as soon as he stood back up I averted my eyes to the opposite direction.

"You guys are pertty good." I announced after they had finished a song.
"But your bass player sucks." Johnny coughed, earning a slap to the back of the head from Zack, as he walked passed.
"Why thank you." Zack smiled and sat next to me, playing with a loose string on his Metallica shirt.
"Heyy, aren't you the chick that started shit with Jake Geen?" Said I a guy I learned to be Jimmy. He was the drummer, a great one, I might add.
I chuckled and nodded. "Uh yeah," I said, my face turning slightly red as I picked at the sleeves on my jacket.
"That was the funniest shit ever!" The bass player Matt Wendt said, and sat his bass down. Quickly slapping Johnny's hand away it, he sat down. "You seriously torched his ass."
I laughed and shrugged. "I don't like when people fuck with other people."
"We can see that." Matt said and walked into his house, coming back moments later with a couple of bottles of water. I thought it was kind of weird how he never talked much, but it just drew me more in to him. I was one of girls who liked a mystery.
"So has he given you anymore shit?" Zack asked.
I looked away from Matt at him. "Nope, " I shook my head.
"Well, your boyfriend kicked his ass pretty good, so I would think so." Matt smirked handing me a water bottle. I took it, and looked up in to his eyes, he looked back in mine and smiled softly. His eyes were a beautiufl hazel, I almost lost my train of thought.
"Uh, Adam's not my boyfriend. He's too old for me." I said and Matt sat acrossed from me, on the ground.
"What? You don't like older guys?" Matt asked looking at me. The corners of his mouth kicking up. "Most girls do."
"Well, I'm not most girls, but he's like twenty-one, and a friend of my brothers, so my brotherwould murder him if he ever tried anything." I chuckled, along with everyone else.
"So does that mean you don't like older guys or you do?" Zack looked at me.
I shrugged. "I don't know, uh I guess." I looked down, my hair falling to cover my face hoping no one would see the deep red that had speard across my features.
"Aw! She does!" Jimmy yelled. "Do you like any seniors at Huntington?"
"Sure," I chuckled, and glanced at Kerry, who was smirking. I suddenly reached up and took the cigarette from Johnny's ear, he didn't seem to notice, since he and the other Matt were arguing.
I lit the cigarette with a lighter from my pocket. "Like who?" Zack asked, nudging me .
I laughed, staring at the fac in my hand. "Uh, I like to keep it a secret." I said and took a long drag from the cigarette.
"You idiots do realize it's one of you right?" Johnny suddenly cut in stopping his argument with Matt Wendt. My eyes went wide, and my head shot in his direction. "You're welcome for that." He looked down at me.
My mouth went slightly agape and I punched his arm making everyone laugh, besides Johnny who just rubbed his arm. "Do you like one of us?" Zack asked, and I turned my head looking at him.
"I don't even know you guys." I said, looking at my cigarette as if it was at all interesting.
Matt chuckled causing me to look at him. "Doesn't mean shit. You don't have to know some one to like them." As he said that and looked at me, I felt he could see passed my lie. I wasn't too sure if that was a good thing or not.
I gave a shrug. "Would it matter anyway?" I asked looking around at all of them, with a slight smirk.
"Maybe, you never know." Zack gave a smirk and I chuckled shaking my head.

"Alright, well, fun time, but I gotta go." Zack said standing. "Matt, you needed a ride right?" He asked, looking at Wendt.
He stood up also. "See ya later, fuck-heads." Wendt said smiling widely walking to the garage door.
"Bye," Zack said, glancing back at us, following the other Matt.
"And then there were four!" Jimmy said in a errie voice, from his spot where he laid on the floor.
"There's five of us, dude." Matt said. I giggled looking at them and Matt glanced at me slightly smiling.
"I know that! I'm not THAT dumb!" Jimmy said, causing Kerry, Johnny and myself to laugh. "I wasn't counting myself, cause I'm the creepy voice over dude." He gave a cheesy smile.
"Alright, whatever you say, man." Matt said chuckling and looked over at me. " So, Tara, or it is Cherry?" He smirked.
I chuckled, slightly shaking my head, interrupting whatever he was going to say. "Brian came up with that, not me." I said as Johnny picked up the bass.
Jimmy and Johnny started playing together, which made Matt move to sit next to me, where Zack had once been. "Yeah I know, he told us."
"Ohh," I said already knowing, since Valary had told me in the bathroom.
Matt leaned closer towards my ear, because of the drums. "But he only told ME, why he gave you the nickname." He pulled away slightly looking at my face after he spoke.
I raised an eyebrow and leaned in to speak. "And whys that?"
Matt leaned in again. "Because you're a virgin."
I leaned away, my eyes wide as I looked at him. "And how the fuck would either of you know that?"
I saw Matt chuckle, but I couldn't hear him over Jimmy and Johnny. He pulled me back to where here could reach my ear again. "Aw, you are, aren't you?"
"Would it matter?" I snapped at him and stood up, causing Jimmy and Johnny to stop. "Well I'm leaving." I changed my tone of voice, along with a slight smile on my face. "Bye." I said walking out of the garage door. As I reached the end of the drive way, I glanced back at the garage seeing Matt looking at me. He gave a slight wave and then trained his eyes on Jimmy and Johnny.
Okay, so I was kind of uncomfortable when it can to talking about things like that about myself. I didn't mean to rude or anything, I just didn't want to talk about it.
With my hands shoved in the pockets of my black Misfits jacket, I gazed around blindly as I walked home. It was starting to get dark and I kind of wished I didn't leave Matt's. Not just because I don't like walking in the dark, but I was actually having a nice time. At least until he brought up the virgin thing. I mean, was it really that noticable? Oh well, I'm still young, why should it even matter? Okay, yes, I was kind of annoyed at the fact that Brian came up with it, because he seemed really sweet. But-- Ugh, why are you over thinking this?! It's just a a name.
My thoughts were sudddenly cut when I heard a car honk from behind me. I spun my head around, only seeing bright headlights. "Tara!" I heard the familiar australian accent shout, recongizing it to be Adam.
The car rode up next to me and in the drive seat sat Adam himself. "Hey.."
"What are you doing walking around?"
I shrugged bending down to be at level with the open car window. "Just going home from Kerry's."
"Get in, You know you shouldn't be walking when its dark." I rolled my eyes walking around to the passenger side door, getting in.
We drove in silence for a good five mintues, until I broke it saying "Do you think I'm a virgin?"
Adam slammed on the breaks causing us both to jolt foward. He still kept his eyes on the road as he spoke. "What?" A horn honked at us to move. Adam contained himself and began driving again.
I chuckled at his whole reaction to this. "Well, it's just that uh--someone made a comment and...Well, do you think I am or?"
Adam glanced over at me. "Uh, well," he chuckled uncomfortly. "Wait, you are a," he looked over at me. "Uh right?"
I laughed. "Adam." I looked at him, seriously, like he could read the answer on my face.
We pulled into my drive way and I watched as he put the car in park. Adam let his hands drop to his lap, and then he turned in his seat to face me. "Who cares if you are, or aren't. It shouldn't matter."
