casually ruffles her hair.
These days, the young Princess prefered to see to her own hair, makeup and attire. Not only was it a form of self-expression and a task she enjoyed, but it also meant it was much harder for the maids to force their modesty-agenda on a young woman who aimed to be anything but.
For all of her good will, her father's arrogant and self-centered, attention-seeking blood still pumped through her veins, after all.
Her location of choice to check and ensure perfect presentation was a mirror in one of the grand corridors, and she was so absorbed in admiring her work that she hadn't noticed his approach until his hand waged war upon her pristine locks. He had, of course, caused a minor disruption in the perfection she had created, and she turned to the Sabertooth mage with a disgruntled pout.
“ Uncle Mord! You're not supposed to do that! ”
In spite of her outward display of annoyance, she was as glad to have his company as she ever was. To her, he was safety and guidance, and a figure in her life that her real father had failed to provide her with. It was clear that, as her hair returned to its prior state after a few seconds of fiddling, she wasn't that angry with him.
“ Shouldn't you be in the Grand Hall keeping an eye on everyone else? ” She didn't really mind, of course. In fact, after a few seconds of consideration, her dark red lips split into a feline smile, and the young girl poked out her tongue.
“ Or are you guarding me today? I've been waiting for a chance to annoy you. ”
