2. “He/She/They’re not coming back!”Ohhhhh this is harsh!! I love it.

Mai got it. She did. It was hard having your best friend ripped from you, she knew that first hand. But Jon was.. taking it harder than most. Jacques had constantly been by his side for years, a constant voice in his ear, his own personal cheerleader, and also worst enemy.

She sighed softly, rubbing Jon’s back as they sat on the couch in his room; it had become a regular occurrence now, she’d spend most of her free time with Jon, making sure that he ate or did his work…

But it had been weeks. And her patience was beginning to run low.

She snapped.

“Y’know, it’s not just you that’s lost your best friend!” Jon’s eyes looked up from where they were trained on the floor, wide and alarmed. “I’ve lost mine too! But she’s not coming back! They’re not coming back! The soon you realise that the better!”

Mai stood up from the couch, bristling, and left the room, only a small part of her regretting it.
