She was once a Master VR Designer, and was lucky enough to be the pupil of one of the first fully-immersive storytellers of processed reality. She is decisive, opinionated, and not easily distracted from her objectives, but often passes for charitable, winning her public favor with Arkadians and many a Hephaestan alike. In collaboration with her husband, she has positioned herself and the Red Chimera as key resources and influencers of the Senate, utulizing her unique VR to inspire public conclusions and devise elaborate strategies to pass controversial legislation.

When she was an Oros Correctional Counselor, she learned to actively anticipate the effects of fear on the well-intentioned loyal and disloyal alike. The Warden complained of her “excessive focus” on inmate rehabilitation and she was quietly dismissed. She has since maintained a low profile, living in the outskirts of the city. The Siphon’s emblematic gatekeeper, she approves all vetted recruits before candidates are approached. And as a seasoned strategist, she mobilizes the collective’s covert plans and people, easily wins the trust of others, but is, herself, mistrusting.

A gifted architect, he contributed to the advanced framework of the Nine Towers and Milton’s Metals. Five years prior, he was a novice member of an anti-government group, violently squashed by a Thorakitai raid. He escaped with fellow member Ayesha Marrow, and went on to create the Siphon, wherein concealment and qualified intel became paramount to every operation. He leads evacuations of fugitives to remote communities in the Shades through underground tunnels and is obsessed with the potential uses of Noa.

Acantha Gabor / 20 / Civilian / Arkadian GLAMOROUS - SENTIMENTAL - PARANOID - UNCOOPERATIVE

Born and raised in Hephaestos, Acantha was discovered at a drug-indulgent party at 18. Popular especially among superstitious Arkadian businessmen and women, who often translate her brief and ambiguous anecdotes to foretell oncoming investment trends, her cryptic prophecies often become famous or "go viral". Clients favoring her verbal runes reserve their appointments on waiting lists weeks to months in advance. She has donned the lifestyle of a dramatic performing artist; she covets fame and awe, and is terrified of becoming just a fad.

CEO of Paeon Properties for the last 7 years, Laurentius is a prominent Arkadian capitalist. With underhanded and strategic VR inceptions (credits to his wife), and negotiations with the Minister of Finance, he was able to win the favor of the Senate and legally implement the controversial Repossession Clause to the Paeon Organ Program. His history is filled with instances of sabotage, blackmail, and brainwashing to get ahead. Eager to be on top, it comes as no surprise his next target is the Minister of Health seat.

New! DEVOUR THE GODS MAJOR FIGURES 

As our lore is broad and extensive in nature, so are our storylines widespread. Now for the first time, we have created Major Figures to better accommodate our members’ individual character plots. Each Major Figure boasts significant influence on one or more larger occurrences or themes on Devour. Personality details and a general scope of their accomplishments and affairs will be provided to help members incorporate them into backstories and turning points IC. We hope these will help bolster development and afford better context for plots. We also are allowing members to apply for Major Figures as characters IC!  Previews of these and more information to come!
