Cataclysm || Makaze || MM Trial || RE: The Producer, ALiCE
This was a lot to take in... and seeing that video example didn't help at all to make the reality stick, but it did make things all the more grim. This was the world now, apparently... if he took one step outside, if either of them did, the world would tear them to shreds... wouldn't it?
He let out a long breath... like he had been holding his breath the entire time. It was one shocking reveal after another, of course he'd forgotten to breathe... but now it was time to speak. Did he even have the words?
"...A contract... I'm sorry, but you can fuck off with that. You put us through this harrowing ordeal... you took our friends and colleagues from us, and now you're telling us you've taken everything else. You're a horrible business man... I thought you were supposed to sweeten the deal, not make it worse."
Listening to Rinji and Rin snap back at the Producer, it gave him more confidence as well. But he could still barely pay attention because his mind... was definitely elsewhere.
All he could think about now was his bandmates... Eiji, Kanako... and most of all Keishi. Were they alright? If only he had any way of contacting them... all he could do was gaze into the cameras, but that felt too distant. Please be okay...
"I couldn't possibly make a decision like that anyway... not without my band. I may be the lead singer, but we're all in this together. ...I've spent enough time running away from them, coming here was the biggest mistake I ever made. I wanted to become a better person for them... for him... but I should have stayed by their side since the beginning.
"I'm going to go back to Tokyo... and I'm going to find them... and then if fate decides it, we can all die in each other's arms. I think that would be a fitting end for me... not with my mind trapped in some... collective. I've never been one for conformity."
He let out a shakey laugh... how could he truly be happy with this result? But nonetheless... he'd rather die free. There was no way he would join...
"I want to see my band again.. sit in our studio and play cards like we always do. I'll take this stupid clip out of my hair, put on my sweat pants, and laugh with the ones I love as I wait for out darling fans to break the door down, if that's how it has to be. That... sounds like a lot of fun."
Let's Just Get This Over With | Ran Kobayashi | MM Trial | Re: Makaze | Attn: Everyone
Ran sighed. What was even the point anymore? As much as she wanted to defend herself, what would it even accomplish. Sure, there was no definitive evidence against her, but it’s not like there was any against anyone else either. Might as well keep as much of her dignity as she could.
“You’re right, Makaze-san. I might as well just come clean at this point. There’s really no use in delaying the inevitable. I’m sure you all have a lot of questions, or at the very least Rinji-san does, lord knows he can’t stop talking, but I’ll just come out and say it.”
She stared straight into the camera that was positioned in front of her. She lacked all enthusiasm in her voice.
“I, Kobayashi Ran, am the director behind The Idol Experiment.”
The Galaxies Vision || MM Trial || Stella || Re: Rinji, Makaze, Silver Siren
The discussion was continuing, their pursuit to find the culprit behind this hellish endeavor was at hand... And now that the letter was presented? Hoshiko was taking her sweet time to read it over, squinting a little bit as she did so... She often could read fairly quickly, but, taking in this information was making her look over each word carefully, attempting to pick apart each word to decipher the truth behind the letter. Letting each word sink in for a moment, before finally speaking up, first turning her attention toward the others, sighing in response.
"Yes, the word does look to be daughter, correct? I had attempted to seek insight into my repertoire of boundless knowledge, yet, only such a claim could appear true... I suppose that does open up some suspicions, yes? Dare I say I share the suspicions that our companions known as Silver Siren and Makaze present, you, on the other hand Aoshi, are free from my suspicion for now. You may feel blessed by this."
Pausing now, she decided to focus on another part of the note, one which she was attempting to figure out as she gave a bit of a confused look, sighing now.
"Hm... What I find odd, however, is the notion that the benefactors behind this hellish case would attempt to cover this up further... You may accuse me as a naive-goddess of this universe and the endless ones within our existence, yet, why would they choose to do so? I suppose I have some concern for our mystery-foe in this case, as, the ones behind this appear to be the puppeteer in this most gruesome of plays, forcing us to act as the puppets to their sick amusement... How could they possibly manage to cover this up as well?"
Hoshiko stared at the letter again, scanning it further before pointing at one last part, puffing up her cheeks in response to one of the statements... Even if now wasn't the time for this? She had to defend her own honor.
"...Also we are not all humans... How many times must I drill such a notion into the minds of you petty humans, I am a goddess who was born from the very cosmos, brought to enact justice to the unworthy... It is only fitting that I am worshiped..."
big worm || Makaze || MM Trial || Rinji, Silver Siren
Makaze took his time reading over the notes... and felt his heart sink. It's not like he couldn't understand where this emotion was coming from..
"Whoever wrote this... they're definitely not wrong about the industry. I can understand why they would want an upheaval... but going about it like this... was is really worth risking the lives of others...?"
Makaze brushed back his hair, letting out a soft sigh. He could understand... but there's no way he could agree with this method.
"Whether this was a deconstruction of Idol Industry culture or not, we're still being tormented and exploited. We're still being made a spectacle of. The only solace we had before was that we weren't actively being killed.
...I may not have had it as rough as a lot of you... but I certainly see the imperfections. It hasn't been perfect for me either... but despite all that, I don't understand how anyone could think this... was the right thing to do. I'll never understand that."
"Either a daughter or a father... either way, it's family. I'm definitely inclined to agree it's a daughter.. since the note does mention the writer's parents. The way this person is described sound much like someone talking about their child fondly, as well. It's... very bittersweet. ...But this daughter isn't the only person mentioned."
Mazake carefully examines the notes one more time, making sure he's got all his ducks in a row.
"These notes make mention of... someone or something dying. It's a little hard to put together at first with so much of the notes being unreadable at times, but it's pretty clear someone passed away.. and something or someone was killed. This is definitely chilling to read... and then to hear about it being covered up.. this is incredibly dark. Getting back to the facts though..
The note says 'blank.. was also found dead." That implies whoever they were talking about before is definitely dead. And they spoke very fondly of this person as well. Could this have been someone they were close to? A female... and it mentions the writer's parents.. could this person have been connected to her parents? A relative..? Because.. if this is the case...."
Makaze frowned, gaze cast to the ground.
"I think you all must know where I'm going with my suspicions... but I agree with Aoshi-san. The one behind this probably should come clean.. if only to save what little grace they have left... because there's only one person I can think of who has a deceased relative as well as being old enough to have a daughter..."
He sure got wordy once he got going, but he wasn't exactly proud to have so many thoughts. It was honestly unpleasant, having to search out their captor from the crowd. He didn't really hold anyone here with ill will, but he definitely wouldn't be able to forgive the person who did all of this to them, regardless of their ideals.

A Shame || Makaze || CH1 Trial || RE: ALiCE
It was hard to see someone paying these consequences for a situation they didn’t ask for, but at this point there was nothing they could do. Souma wasn’t sure how to feel, but he didn’t have any good feelings. “…I understand, ALiCE-san. I’m sorry this had to happen to you… I regret that we didn’t get to speak as much as I would have liked. I will dedicate myself to honoring your memory. …You are not a martyr, but you are an inspiration. I’m very happy to have been able to meet you here… even if I wish the circumstances could have been better.” And with that.. it was time for him to cast his vote.
