Ye know that saying, "If you build it, they will come" (keep it PG, folks)? I don't find that accurate; haven't for a bit. It's nice to have certain things exist that are wanted and/or needed.
But is it accessible? Is it in easy reach of the crowd you're selling to? Does it justify an awkward public transit ride to get to it?
While we're here, get out of your head the assumption that everyone has easy access to a car they can drive themselves or a computer/smartphone with unlimited, high-speed internet. You also need to ask these questions under the knowledge that transportation and communication mediums are what they are and not do the math off of the best possible scenario. The average is much lower than tolerable in this day and age.
Just remember that the next time you're upset about a lack of sales or account attention. If you're struggling to be seen/reached, others are likely struggling to see/reach you. The algorithms work both ways.
I know this as a smol bean with chronic issues who doesn't post every day and hasn't shared their work in a long time. I did not make myself accessible where I wanted to be reached/seen/acknowledged, essentially erasing myself from view with a lack of effort or understanding. So, I'm educating myself on how systems work and what suits my desires (and health) best while having a real heart-to-heart with my craft.
