3 Reasons Artists Should Make a Visual Novel Game
Great portfolio piece if you want to make games. Visual Novels use sprite/character art, environment/background art and event illustration art.
More bang for your buck If you spend time on an art asset (e.g., slow art or hand-painted art), it can be reused again and again, unlike a single comic panel, which is read for a few seconds but might take an hour or more to produce. On the other hand, comic artists could also make simple (or not so simple) motion comics using almost any Visual Novel engine.
Add interaction to your creations Most Visual Novel engines make it easy to create buttons over, say, a map or a piece of background art. This creates an immersive experience in which the player can interact with your story world.
