should i blog abt my scene prep/research
gods forbid I work on only one project at a time and keep my space clean and orderly while I'm working
for reference, this is what my workshop looks like when I'm not mid-project:
the waterfront || community space
• 30x40 lot in evergreen harbour “the waterfront”
• get it on the gallery @midsummersims
• 2 versions: a rundown base community space & 1 renovated version, uploaded as a makerspace but functional as an all-in-one community space for all the community space lot types
• no cc but most ep & gp + some of the sp/kits
• playtested & should be functional <3
Gotta love the Crafting Corner Chaos
I'm so incredibly proud of these and so happy that I was able to get them done in time! There's a bunch of imperfections and things I wish were better, but I'm chuffed as can be!
You know, the library job didn't pan out, but it made me realize that I need to be working on a creative project at all times to feel normal. Making the cardstock puppets for my presentation, drawing up the background, practicing the story like an audition, that was the most fun and stimulation I've had in months! I haven't been able to focus on ANYTHING for years, but somehow this triggered the right neurotransmitters and I was able to commit and finish it, and I'm really proud of the end result even if the library board was less than impressed by my interview and performance.
I need to craft.
Studio Tour!
I realize I haven't shown y'all my studio since I moved! I finally have not one, but two dedicated creative spaces now! So let's check them out!
As you can see, I have not changed, lol. Only got a bigger space. The other half of the room, not pictured, is Marshall's creative space, with a podcasting and 3D printing station. I'm set up for illustration and fiber crafts mostly on my side. In the middle we have a table that can easily switch from a sewing table to a print processing station depending on who is working it.
Also that fishtank doesn't have real fish in it, don't worry. Only blown glass fish.
Some of these artworks I made myself and some I know I bought from you fine folk like that masterful Seventh Sister original by Lorna. I know I bought that Temple Guard print from someone on here many years ago (I think Sanguith?) And I'm pretty sure the "Join Today" print was a Tumblr artist too.
Also as a bonus, check out some of the collection shelves from our Library/Game Room right next door:
So, in summary: we love Star Wars. We love the Inquisitors. We love making things here and bringing them to you 🖤
