21 Random Words Target Language Writing Challenge Day 2: Tischler
See the rules for this Langblr challenge on @flyhigh-studying‘s original post: 21 Random Words Target Language Challenge.
Today’s word was new for me not just in my two main target languages, but also in English. Until today, I hadn’t known that a joiner is a different sort of woodworker than a carpenter. Joiners do lighter and more ornamental work than regular carpenters. A carpenter will focus on making a functional table; a joiner may also trim the sides.
For my German challenge, here is today’s Elfchen, which will have a translation in the notes. (And in the tags. But not everyone sees the tags, so . . .)

And for my Russian challenge, here is some Cyrillic cursive. Photo taken in my classroom, after my students had all gone home for the day.
