Good morning. It's 6:00 AM. Friday, September 22nd, 2017. The first official day of fall. AUTUMNAL EQUINOX 2017. In honor of #flashbackfriday I wanted to post a picture I took of myself while on top of a scrapper. (A piece of heavy construction earth moving equipment) Took this photo back in 2009/2010 when I reported to my initial unit. This past June, I completed my 8 year contractual agreement as an engineer with the USAR and it's almost unbelievable to me just how fast time goes by. If I could say anything to my then 21 year old self 8 years ago... I would simply say, "Everything is going to be okay." There comes a time in your life when you simply STOP explaining yourself to people. When? When you realize people only understand you according to their level of perception. Remind yourself you will evolve way past certain people. Allow yourself that time and space to do so. Sometimes there is no next time, no time outs, no second chances. Sometimes, it's now or never. Life is for but a short time, never waste it. If there's one thing I've learned. It's that following your heart also means eliminating the things that no longer evolve you. No one is coming to save you. This life. Your life.
