“The idea’s insane, you understand that, right?” Remus is seated in front of a a large desk in the back corner of the library. There’s a large piece of parchment laid out in front of them, crude scribbles of hallways filling the sheet. He chews on the end of his wand thoughtfully, quill tucked up behind his ear, and he hasn’t taken his eyes off of the map in ages.
“You may just be a MAD GENIUS here.” A wolfy, crooked smile came across his face and the lycanthrope shook his head. Leaning back in his chair, he rubs his hands over his face, takes a breath, and steals himself. “Okay--” he shakes his hands out, pulling the quill from behind his ear and dipping it into his ink. “We’re going to have to do some hell of research here, charm wise. But we need to start with actually documenting all the hallways, hidden entrances. where the Quidditch field is, the lake, Hagrid’s hut...” The boy trails off, grayish eyes flickering up to his friend’s.
He regards JAMES POTTER for a long moment. It was doable, it would just take hell of some time. He had a habit of copying Remus’s homework anyways, so he supposed the boy didn’t have all that MUCH to do with his time anyways. “Then, we have to draw it to scale, before we even start with any of the charm work.” A map to end all maps -- this would give them free reign for their remaining years at school. They could get around Filch sneaking around the corners, catch McGonagall before she shut down their latest prank. Corner Severus in the back corner of the hall on the third floor.
“We should set Peter and Sirius on mapping -- Wormtail’s got that photographic memory, he’ll be able to help Sirius draw it out.” Quill is replaced behind his ear and he stands, propping his hands on the edge of the table. “You and I gotta start looking at those advanced charms books. Maybe talk to Gonny-Girl to get a peak at her private library--”
