I am really interested in runes and crystals, I just feel extremely overwhelmed with where to start and exactly what it is. Is it similar to astrology? I'm very intrigued by this stuff, and I've never dealt with witchcraft kinda stuff. If you can give advice to a beginner that would be great!!

I can understand how it can all seem overwhelming. There’s so much to learn and you want to learn it all at the same time! But it’s important to take things bit by bit and go one at a time. Figure out what piques your interest the most, and start off with that!
Where runes are concerned, I’d suggest reading my introductory post on runes, as well as my short (and incomplete) series on rune etymology. If you have a basic understand of how tarot cards work, you’ll find runes work similarly, so you may have an easier time getting started here.
Regarding crystals, I don’t really have much experience, but here’s a short list of posts you might find useful :
