This idea came to me forever ago and because I didn’t write it down I forgot about it for literally half a year :’)

Haruguuji spy duo AU!

A story in which Maki’s assassin organization is even bigger and even more corrupt and she’s unfortunately completely brainwashed by it, unable to think for herself. Korekiyo is a double agent of sorts infiltrating it and trying to expose it while undercover working for it; the two of them end up being assigned on missions together and Maki absolutely hates him at first, because any jab he makes at the organization feels like a personal jab at her--due to her devoting her entire life to it, feeling completely ingrained into the organization and everything it stands for.

Maki’s essentially in a “what we’re doing is good and I’m bringing justice to the world” state of mind, and Korekiyo is very snarky and jaded and antagonizes her a shit ton but it ends up with her finally disconnecting herself from the work and getting another perspective--yeah I hate this freak who’s sabotaging my entire life’s work and treats it like a fun little game but...he kinda cute...and has a point...and made me realize a lot of things about myself and my work...all with a smile...whatever tch not like I care--

Basically it’s pretty enemies to lovers core LOL. :]

Also think it’s hilarious for Kiyo to be against what they’re doing as assassins but still having the time of his life doing it.

Took a lot of inspiration from Men in Black and spy movies in general for these designs and general story! They have a lot more outfits than these, since these are SUPER conspicuous, I’ll draw them in matching basic suits at some point, I prommy. They are chock full of disguises, but this is their main go-to, I guess.
