dude i feel you, i'm so bad at keeping up w/ friends like i should be writing back to a friend rn and it's been like 3 days, but i have like zero motivation (??idk it's weird) but like we're friends, right? not super close, but it's a start
ngl i haven't talked to my "best friend" since the start of 2015 due to a lack of motivation and stuff. i'm sorry ya understand the feeling tho, it sucks a lot.

Already stated Yoongi's so here are the others':
Hoseok's from the Southern Water Tribe and his dad was one of Korra's dad's soldiers, like he worked under him. But when he was reported missing, Hoseok went looking for him, the only clue being his dad was last seen in Republic City.
Jimin's village was taken over by Kuvira, a very small, remote and poor village. He went out on a journey to seek help from the Avatar since he's like, the only one who's brave enough and capable? He lives with a lot of old people.
Jeongguk and Taehyung are students from an academy in the Fire Nation with a flawed education system. They met Namjoon there and shared hatred for their school. After getting to know each other, Namjoon suggested that they should meet this old teacher he knew in Republic City, since both are young prodigies and he just felt that their potential was being wasted in that poor excuse of a school. So the two went ahead to the city without knowing Namjoon followed them there to keep an eye.
Jin was a noble in the Northern Water Tribe, who is actually related to Korra, Eska and Desna! He only grew up with the twins tho. He kinda ran away because of the pressure of being the younger son, jealous of his 'perfect' older brother. His parents often forget he exists lol poor bby. So in rebellion he sets out for Republic City to explore and stuff.
Jin and Hobi met first,, at the police station. Jin asked for directions ((in disguise of course)) and Hobi asked for any information about Southern Water Tribe soldiers within the city. And became friends instantly because aYYEE WATER TRIBE BROS
They all met each other when Yoongi accidentally threw himself like 20 feet into the air in the middle of the public market. And caused quite a ruckus. So them being them, the boys went to where Yoongi was because woah a new air bender right in front of their eyes. Yoongi unintentionally threw a cart towards Tae and Kookie's direction and Jimin showed up and earthbended to shield them in time. Hoseok and Jin tried to help bring Yoongi down to the ground using water ropes to grab his limbs. Namjoon just watched the whole thing tbh like omg interesting. And then they met a few instances after that incident before actually becoming friends. ((I rly cant provide specifics rn ><))
Fast forward to friendship land! Yoongi finally gave up on running away from his newly gained yet unwanted responsibilities and Tenzin and trained in Air Temple Island. The gang went along with him, idek how they got in the island isnt like exclusive or smth...but yeah they became familiar with the folks there. And yes Tae and Meelo are best friends. My friend and I still have to discuss other relationships between bangtan and the canon characters so I guess that's it for now. ;v;
