Makoro is a hartmans mountain zebra, however he is a traveller thus hardly spends time with his own race and is far more curious about other races learning what he can. he tends to settle in an area for a time while learning while he does so.
His talent lies in plants and insects. he knows traditional magic and some powerful methods but is better at natural remedies he studies any new plant life he can get his hooves on as well as insects having a very keen interest, he can fix up almost any ailment and keeps many dried plants and spices he finds on his travels with him. He has many books he has written about these things as well as other species of ponies he comes across he's more enamored with the races that differ from him the most.
Makoro is not much for conversation, though he can speak and does enjoy certain topics majority of the time he responds with actions or gestures rather than speech. when he does talk it is low and smooth with an accent that gives away he's not from around these parts.
Due to his linage he possess immense physical strength. due to this he can look a little imposing due to how bulky he is. he tends to be over gentle with contact with others though as he is very aware of this fact although he does not mean to he treats people as though they were made of porcelain. he will use regular touches with other zebra though.
He is not opposed to using his strength in his favor or in a fight if it must be done. he prefers to de-escalate and peace but will fight and can end a life. though things do not usually go this far, if the other party asks him to stop he usually does.
He is quite used to forms of racism on his travels as hes aware Zebra tend to stay in the herd they are born into and it's a rare sight to see them anywhere not in the Savannah or mountains thus has learned to tune out the whispers he hears though he is kind hearted and calm by nature so if conflic arises he is normally able to de-esculate a situation. He acts somewhat noble. and will protect or defend another if he feels like he should. he can take a good amount of battery before feeling hurt or collapse
