A peaceful moment.
It was a moonlit night at Air Temple Island. Asami was taking a shower while Mako and Korra were together sitting and looking at the night sky. The three of them had been in their polyamarous relationship for a few weeks now.
It felt nice as Korra was happy that Asami was her girlfriend and Mako was her boyfriend. She was very much in love with them both.
Asami was happy for Korra and she accepted and liked this arrangement as while she had merely platonic feelings for Mako she saw him as dear close friend and was happy to have him around often.
Mako feels at peace whenever he’s around Korra and Asami and especially Korra. He didn’t feel suffocated like he did when he was with Jine.
Mako was also happy that Tonraq and Senna saw both him and Asami as their own children. For the first time in a long time Mako felt like his life was a peaceful and great one.
He looks at Korra and smiles as he holds her hand. Korra notices this and looks at Mako and smiles. Korra says “Mako I’ll admit when me and Asami got together I saw you as a best friend and I was fully in love with Asami and I still am... But soon I was able to see that I love both you and her in the same way. I feel so happy to have you both in my life.”
Mako smiles at her and says “And I feel the same way Korra. I hope it can always be like this. It just feels so perfect.”
Korra smiles “It does doesn’t it?”
Mako nods and hugs Korra who smiles and hugs him back. Then they both look each other in the eye and they kiss under the wonderful moonlight.
