Thanks for the discretion! I’m not keeping her a secret - she’ll be one of the first new aspects introduced to the story, at least as things are currently planned. :D

As for the meme request...unfortunately, I haven’t done a lot of actual writing with her yet. I did a little something during NaNoWriMo though, and hopefully this bit from it will suffice: 

               “Indeed,” agreed Korwyn. “We have all been through much. I hope you’re taking care of yourself, too, Kormac.”

               “Ah, I’m fine,” replied the Templar.

               “That doesn’t answer my question,” said Korwyn. “I know you ate – before I lay down in my own bedroll, I want you to promise you’ll rest tonight, and not volunteer to, to, I don’t know, stand guard or something.”

               “…Fine. I shan’t argue with you over this,” Kormac conceded.

               “Good. I appreciate that – we’re so glad to have you back, Kormac. Truly. ‘Tis a blessing to us. So you can best be sure that we’re going to make sure you’re in good health. We’ve several years of love to catch up on,” said Korwyn.

The sky is subtlety different here, on the other side of the rift. Malthael watches the sun descend with mild trepidation, knowing the first night in a new realm is always the most dangerous. Still, even the most resilient of wanderers requires sleep. He draws his blades close to him, settles his head on his pack, and watches the stars begin to cascade slowly across the firmament. Hopefully, if anything does find him, it will wait until morning, and the re-emergence of the the light.

Darc walks the barrens south ofOrcoth, torch in hand, and wonders where the reported human trespasser comesfrom. The region is far enough from human settlements for it to be an unusualoccurrence.

Well, far enough from activehuman settlements, anyway. Perhaps they’re a survivor from Cathena?

He’ll just have to find out. Heapproaches slowly, just as ready to present himself as a non-threat as he is todefend himself. The embers of the trespasser’s fire glow in the late eveningdarkness. It seems there’s only one.

One human, all alone? In Deimosterritory? With wild monsters roaming? Whoever this human is, they’re eitherbrave or stupid. Once Darc figures out which, he has to figure out what to dowith them after. Hopefully he won’t have to kill them – or take them back toOrcoth. The Orcon won’t act against Darc’s orders, but still, getting them totolerate a human in their midst will be a pain in the ass.

The young king comes to a stop afew steps from the dying fire, with the trespasser on the other side. His righthand stays near the hilt of his sword, just in case; his left, draconic handholds out the torch to better light the encounter.

“Psst, hey! Human!” Darc hisses. “Get up! I won’thurt you, but it’s not safe here!”

Ooh, three of them~

I just hit 20k words for NaNoWriMo!! :D I’ve been about 2k behind until now. I’m doing my damnedest to finally hit 50k! (I think I did it once a few years ago, but right at the midnight turnover so I didn’t submit my final count on time.)

This coming Christmas will be my first in several years where I’m not working retail. I am so excited and so relieved. I don’t even mind that it’s not going to be much of a Christmas on account of C19 and all, in fact I’d rather it be quiet. Mainly, not working retail means I’ll be able to start enjoying the holiday properly again instead of battling with being jaded by the commercialism. (I’m still jaded by the commercialism, but without being a part of the commercialism I can make it my version of the holiday.)

Among Us and Fall Guys are both good, but honestly if I had to pick one dumb, fun multiplayer game, it’s Super Animal Royale. Praise Banan!

How I feel about this character

Forever sad. Never over it. 

Okay, in all seriousness…I so, so love that the literal child of Diablo, of Terror Incarnate, is a good, kind person. I love that in a series full of beings that only exist to be unchangingly one thing, one way, and nothing else, that the direct descendant of a Demon Lord can be the complete opposite of what nature should’ve intended for her. Diablo plots to destroy all Light and Order, etc., Leah plots to make a cozy, safe little inn for other people. She takes all that crap about the dichotomy of good/evil and light/dark and throws it all aside - 

and that is one of my absolute favourite things in any narrative. 

My “#foreverbitter #leahdeservedbetter” reactions to what happened to her is that once she discovered the truth, that left room for so much potential for her to rise to - to use the powers of a Demon Lord to make the world a better place. And I mean, what happened made for a great shock. But…now what’s happening to her??? I need to know!! And maybe write fanfic. Maybe definitely write fanfic.

Her and Tyrael, mainly. I’m so glad that, even after endgame (according Storm of Light), he recognizes Leah as a victim and a good person at heart.

My unpopular opinion about this character

Hm, not sure what the popular opinion on her is..? I’m just going to take a firm stance that, even if she had the chance to use her demonic powers, she would remain a good person at heart. I’m not saying it would be a perfect journey and she wouldn’t have moments of weakness/doubt/temptation/etc…but that’s the whole point, isn’t it? How ultimately human she is.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon.

Obviously, Leah had a lot of demonic blood in her, spoiler alert harr harr. The angelic blood in her descended mainly from the Hope aspect. The aspect didn’t particularly manifest in Adria - she turned to Diablo because she didn’t think humanity had any chance of standing against him. But it did manifest in Leah. Powerfully. In other lore sources like the Book of Tyrael and the “Storm of Light” novel, Tyrael recounts that her greatest legacy was her compassion. Plus, she wanted her inn to be a safe haven for others, which sounds pretty Hope-y to me. 

So yeah, despite being majority demonic, the Hope in her was mightier.

13: What gets them flustered

Hmm…I struggled with this one a bit, as I can’t think of much in Heaven that would fluster her. Best I can come up with is Imperius whenever he’s being, you know, himself. As the one that holds the Angiris Council together as best as she can, Imperius is the one that likely strains their bonds the most with his hotheadedness. 

Might not be flustered so much as exasperated, but they’re related enough.

I’m going to choose an old anime pairing that’s close to my heart: Sakura/Rock Lee. Because Rock Lee is genuine and sweet, and Sakura deserves better than Sasuke.

They both work hard, and would probably be prone to it. But I’m going to say Sakura, if only because Lee probably has nap/sleep time planned out properly enough to get to bed.

Sakura is probably the proper cook between them. Though Lee can pull his weight, and likely has a particular diet he sticks too. But Sakura is still, overall, the better cook. As for take-out menus, take-out is probably a treat, so they likely have a few menus from places they both like.

Lee, because he’s a big goober like that.
